Older Adults Favor Facebook, YouTube

According to the Pew Research Center, Facebook and YouTube are the most commonly used social media sites by people 65 and older in the United States.
The two sites are equally popular, with 41% of older adults saying they use Facebook and 40% using YouTube.
Pinterest was used by 16%, Instagram by 10%, LinkedIn by 9% and Twitter by 8%. Interestingly, 66% of those surveyed who were 50 or older said it would not be difficult to give up social media.
That may already be happening. The same survey reveals that 40% of people 65+ said they’ve stopped checking Facebook for several weeks or even longer.
