Senior Health: Resolutions for Better Health

Health
It’s the new year and we all know what that means: resolutions we make with the best of intentions but rarely keep. Sure, we all want better health. In fact, I don’t know anyone who doesn’t want to:
- Lose weight
- Exercise more
- Eat healthier
- Get more rest and
- Reduce stress
And as I’m not an expert in any of these areas (except maybe sleep), I thought I’d offer up some information courtesy of Family Living Today.
Their “Guide to Senior Health and Wellness” provides a well-rounded approach on better senior health. The guide covers diet and exercise, of course, but also how to stay emotionally healthy through social interaction and community involvement. The site includes links to national health studies and such heavy hitters as the National Institute on Aging.
So, as we kick off a new year and a new decade, here’s to dropping a few pounds, picking up that racquet, eating more vegetables and getting better sleep!
